The authorities said they were ready to launch the sixth generation communication two years ahead of schedule.
The Ministry of Science and Information and Communications Technology is currently conducting a feasibility study for a $481 million research project. Also, the authorities will encourage local companies to produce equipment, components and materials for cellular networks of the sixth generation.
The country will use the open technology Open RAN, which is compatible with most mobile devices. This will greatly simplify the implementation of 6G networks.
