AMD has finally announced its new graphics cards for notebooks, the Radeon 6000M, based on the RDNA 2 architecture. First announced at CES 2021, three new models in this series were unveiled at Computex 2021. These are the Radeon RX 6800M, RX 6700M, and RX 6600M. The company claims to be the most powerful laptop graphics card it has ever released. The manufacturer compares the Radeon RX 6800M with the NVIDIA RTX 3080 and claims that this new product can handle AAA games.
The Radeon 6000M series flagship model comes with 40 compute modules and ray tracing accelerators, 12GB of 192-bit GDDR6 video memory, and 96MB Infinity Cache. The Radeon RX 6700M received 36 ray tracing accelerators, 10 GB of GDDR6 memory, a 160-bit bus, and 80 MB of cache. The youngest model, the Radeon RX 6600M, has 28 ray tracing accelerators, 8GB GDDR6, 128-bit bus, and 32MB cache.
The company claims the RX 6800M can handle games like Battlefield V, F1 2020, Overwatch, and Apex Legends with 120 FPS at high settings and 1440p resolution. The RX 6700M holds 100 FPS at 1440p, while the RX 6600M holds 100 FPS at 1080p.
