Posted on December 13, 2022

Apple has launched satellite communications in France, Germany, Ireland, and the UK. This is reported on Apple’s official website.

The function is necessary for urgent communication with emergency response services in places with no network or Wi-Fi. In November, the feature was launched in the US, Canada, and some European countries.

Satellite emergency calling is available on the four latest models: iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

The next expansion of the list of countries is expected in 2023. Which countries these will be in is not reported.
