In the newsletter, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman outlined what new products Apple will introduce in 2023.
MacBook Air 15″
It was reported that the 15-inch MacBook Air would not differ from the 13-inch model. The display size will be close to the 16-inch MacBook Pro, but the bezels will be more significant.
The novelty may be presented next spring.
Updated iMac
The monoblock will receive an Apple M3 system-on-a-chip. Whether this will be a minor internal update or whether Apple will show an iMac with a 27-inch display is unknown. Work is also ongoing on the iMac Pro, but it’s unclear if it will be announced simultaneously as the base iMac.
HomePod with FaceTime camera and built-in Apple TV
The new home product will combine a speaker, a FaceTime camera, and an Apple TV set-top box. What the new HomePod will look like and how much they will ask for it are not reported. The device may be presented at the end of 2023.
The company is also working on updating the original HomePod, which ceased sales in March 2021. Externally, the column will not change but will receive an S8 chip from the Apple Watch Series 8 and improved sound quality. According to Ming-Chi Kuo, HomePod will be announced in the first quarter of 2023.
MR headset
Apple’s mixed reality headset could be unveiled at a separate event as early as January, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo previously reported. The headset will probably go on sale later, so developers have time to prepare exciting and practical applications for a new class of devices.
Mac Pro
A pro computer can get an M2 Ultra system-on-a-chip with 20 CPU cores, 64 GPU cores, and 128 GB of combined memory in the base version. The top configuration with M2 Extreme will receive 40 CPU cores, 128 GPU cores, and 128 or 256 GB of integrated memory. The best time for an announcement is the WWDC 2023 developer conference, which takes place every summer. In addition to new devices, the company will introduce new versions of operating systems.
