According to The Elec, Samsung representatives met with suppliers in October to discuss the development of the smartphone market. Interestingly, at the meeting, Samsung mentioned Apple and its first device with a flexible display.
According to Samsung, Apple’s first foldable device will be a tablet. Launching a smartphone with a flexible display is risky, so the technology and demand must be tested on a less mainstream device. The folding iPhone will not be presented until 2025.
CCS Insight also confirmed the rumors. Analysts estimate that a tablet with a flexible display will cost around $2,500.
What will be the first Apple product with a flexible display is unknown. So far, all tested devices are early prototypes.
