Alfa Tech plans to launch the production of FAW electric vehicles in 2023. Until the end of the year, about two thousand cars can be assembled. Taxi and carsharing are seen as the main clients.
One of the first models could be FAW Bestune NAT, introduced in China in 2021. The car received a 54.4 kWh battery with a range of 419 km from a single charge.
However RBC is doubtful about Alfarus: it is not known whether an agreement has been signed with FAW. Like, there is an agreement between the authorities of the region and the investor. Experts interviewed by the publication suggest that an agreement could be concluded, for example, with a Chinese taxi service that leaked these Bestune NATs to Russia in disassembled form.
Another question: where to charge all this Chinese electrical goods that have poured into Russia in such quantities over the past year?
