Apple has announced price increases in the App Store in all European countries and Chile, Egypt, Japan, Malaysia, Pakistan, South Korea, and Vietnam.
The price increase will take place on October 5th. Apple attributes this to the weakening of the euro against the US dollar.
The minimum price per application will increase from 0.99 to 1.19 euros, while the maximum price will increase from 999 to 1199 euros. That is +20% to all prices. The price increase will not affect auto-renewing subscriptions.
Previously, Apple raised the prices of its devices in Europe by 20-25%. If the iPhone 13 in Germany costs 799 euros, then the iPhone 14 is already sold for 999 euros.
