Getty Images banned the sale of images generated by a neural network – Techsuppo

Posted on September 22, 2022

The Getty Images photobank banned the uploading and selling of images generated by a neural network. Since the pictures are based on existing images, the company fears copyright infringement.

Now on Getty Images, you can find images generated by a neural network, but they will be removed in the future. Intelligent filters will moderate content, but you can complain about content from neural networks as long as the company relies on users.

Previously, uploading images generated by a neural network was banned by Newgrounds, a platform for PurplePort photographers, and Fur Affinity photo hosting.
