Google Chrome update with material design interface

It seems that Google is getting closer to implementing its Material Design UI in its Chrome browser. The redesigned Chrome is now available in Canary branch for Windows, Linux and Mac OS. And the update enables the new ‘ Material Design Browser UI ‘in Chrome Canary by default on the mentioned operating systems. The new set of changes includes an updated material design address bar, adjusted lash shape and lash colors, simple lash mode, lash strip coloring, pinned tabs, alert indicators, and Omnibox tip icons.

For those who don’t know, Canary It is the development branch of Chrome where new features are tested before they are widely released to the public.

Note: Chrome Canary is designed for developers and first timers, so download it at your own risk and don’t be surprised if the program occasionally crashes.

What’s new in the update?

According to Beaufort, it is “eyelash shape, single eyelash mode, omnibox suggestion icons, lash strip coloring, pinned tabs, and alert indicators.” Using the new browser it also seems faster, although there is no documentation specifically addressing this.

The redesigned browser has a new address bar, the ends of the address bar are now rounded instead of the rectangular shape, the colors, and the new alert indicators, as seen in the image below.

Additionally, the redesign is part of the drive for Material design from Google, which is a toolkit for unifying the User Interface across all Google products.

Not only the operating system, Google also contributed material design to its applications such as Gmail, Google +, etc. There is something about material design that is visually appealing to everyone. It’s almost like a breath of fresh air when you see a clean and modern user interface. The good news is that Google is finally bringing the material design language to Google Chrome on all platforms.
