In Windows 10 system, the taskbar is located at the bottom by default. It mainly consists of start menu, search box, programs or apps which usually show list, notification area and clock. And if you don’t want to put it at the bottom, you can move it to other places.
There are several methods to change the positions of the taskbar.
Option 1: Use the mouse to move it directly
As mentioned above, the taskbar is located at the bottom of the screen, so you can move it to the right, top, and left side as you like.
one. Cancel Lock the taskbar . Right-click the blank spot on the taskbar, and if there is a check mark on Lock taskbar, it means the taskbar is locked and you can’t move it to other places. Click the option to cancel the lock function.
Only if you canceled it, you can move the taskbar left, right and up.
2. On the blank place of the taskbar, long press the left mouse button, and you can drag it to the right, top and left position.
And there is something interesting that, when the taskbar on the left and right side, the height of the taskbar is higher than the top and bottom.
Option 2: Taskbar settings to change location
You can also use the taskbar settings to set the position of the taskbar.
1. Right click on the blank taskbar and choose Taskbar Settings .
2. On the taskbar, find the location of the taskbar in the display settings by pulling down the vertical scroll bar.
3. In the location of the taskbar on the screen:
choose left : You will see that your taskbar is on the left side.
Choose Right : You will see the taskbar move to the right side.
Choose Top : You will see the bottom taskbar move to the top.
How to move taskbar back to bottom?
The above two options show you how to move the bottom taskbar to other positions. So you can return it.
Nap using the solution from option 1 , try to disable taskbar lock at first and then hold left mouse button to drag taskbar from top to right and left to bottom.
