Now let’s move on to the possible causes and their solutions.
1. Registry key error

Done. This could have fixed the error 0x80004005. If you still face the problem, try disable your Program antivirus first and then apply this method. Then if the problem persists, move on to the next method below.
(ii) When trying to access shared folders / drives
Step 1: Press the Windows key + R simultaneously, and then type regedit and click “To accept”.
Step 2: now navigate to the following path in regedit
HKLM SOFTWARE Microsoft Windows CurrentVersion Policies System
Step 3: for a system 32 bit , create a new value DWORD called LocalAccountTokenFilterPolicy .
for a system 64 bit , believe a QWORD (64 bit) call LocalAccountTokenFilterPolicy.
In either case, set the value to 1 numeric (which means activated) and be sure to click “To accept”.
Step 4: reboot your computer and check if the error is gone.
This could have resolved the 0x80004005 error. If this doesn’t try this workaround:
Step 1: press Windows + R simultaneously and type hdwwiz.cpl to access the Device administrator .
Step 2: Now select Network adapters , click on Watch from the menu and click See hidden devices .
Step 3: Then expand Network adapters . Yes go Microsoft 6to4 adapters , right-click on them and select Remove device to remove them.
Step 4: reboot your computer and check if the error is gone.
2. Windows update error
Sometimes the windows updates may be the ones causing conflicts and creating Error 0x80004005. To repair problematic updates, try this method.
(i) Automatic troubleshooter
Step 1: go to the menu Beginning , scribe “problem solving” in the search box and then click “Problem solving” in the search box.
Step 2: Now click “See everything” on the left side of the pop-up window.
Step 3: Then click “Windows Update” and then click “Advanced”.
Step 4: Check Apply repairs automatically and Execute as an administrator.
Step 5: Then click “Next” and follow the steps present on your screen to complete the troubleshooting.
(ii) Cleaning the download folder
Step 1: First of all, double click on the icon «This PC» on your desktop to access the File Browser .
Step 2: now navigate to the following path
C: Windows SoftwareDistribution Download
If you have installed Windows system on another partition, you need to replace C with the corresponding drive letter.
Step 3: Then press Ctrl + A simultaneously to select all files and folders and press Remove on your keyboard.
Step 4: Finally, confirm the removal process when prompted by your system.
Step 5: when everything is removed, empty the Recycle Bin . Restart your computer.
(iii) Install update manually
Step 1: Open your browser (Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, etc.) and search “Downloading the Microsoft Windows KBXXXXX update.” Remember to replace KBXXXXX With the code KB of the update you want to install.
Step 2: now download the windows update from the Microsoft official site .
Step 3: After downloading the file, double click in it and follow the instructions that appear on your screen.

3. MS Outlook error

(i) Disable new mail notifications

Step 2: after accessing the disk cleanup wizard , check the checkbox “Temporary Internet Files” on the list “Files to delete.”
Step 3: click “Clean system files.” Restart your computer.
