Huawei has launched its flagship Mate 50 series smartphones in China.
Huawei Mate 50
Mate 50 is a smartphone with a 6.7-inch display. OLED matrix with 90Hz refresh rate and HDR support. The display has a cutout for the front camera.
As a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip and three memory modifications: 128, 256, and 512 GB, there is a slot for NM cards. RAM 8 GB.
Battery capacity 4460 mAh. Supports fast wired (66W) and wireless charging (50W).
50MP primary camera with f/1.4-4.0 variable aperture. 13 MP wide-angle and 12 MP telephoto. Front camera 13 MP. There is also laser autofocus.
Huawei Mate 50 Pro
The Pro version received a 6.74-inch display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Instead of a small dot for the front camera – “bangs.” And for a reason: sensors are hidden inside, including 3D ToF, for the face unlock system to work.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip and two modifications with 256 and 512 GB of memory. There is a slot for NM cards.
The primary camera is the same but with OIS stabilization. A 12MP wide-angle camera and a 64MP telephoto camera support 200x hybrid zoom. The front camera is also 13 MP.
Battery capacity 4700 mAh. The charging speed has not changed.
Both smartphones support Beidou-3 satellite communications. Owners of the Mate 50 will be able to send a distress call in case of emergencies. But there is no support for fifth-generation networks due to US sanctions, but if 5G is vital for you, you can buy a particular case with a modem.
Huawei Mate 50 RS Porsche Design
And the latest addition is the Mate 50 RS Porsche Design with a ceramic lid. There are two differences from the Mate 50 Pro: a 48 MP telephoto with a macro function and 12 GB of RAM.

The Mate 50 and Mate 50 Pro will be available in glass (silver, purple, and black) and leather (orange and black). Prices:

- Huawei Mate 50 RS (512 GB) – 12,999 yuan
For a leather cover, you will have to pay another 200 yuan. Sales in China will start on September 21.
