Windows 10 Light Theme improvements

Previously, Microsoft (with Windows 10 Build 18282) introduced the new lightweight theme for Windows 10. And today, based on user feedback, added some improvements to the lightweight theme.

  • We fixed an issue where the scroll bar in the network dropdown menu was not visible in the lightweight theme.
  • We fixed an issue where the autoplay icon in the systray was not visible in the light theme.
  • Also fixed an issue that affected the network and volume icons in the notification area where after switching to the light theme they would not update from white to black until the browser was restarted.
  • We fixed a similar issue where not all supported app icons on the taskbar would change color on the taskbar when switching between light and dark theme (particularly on the secondary monitor).
  • We’ve made some tweaks to address issues where when using light-themed white icons in notifications they were not readable.
  • The latest build that updates the Settings icon is now dark gray in the taskbar when the light theme is enabled instead of black.
