NVIDIA will close its office in Russia until the end of October. A representative of the company confirmed the information.
Since March of this year, NVIDIA has stopped sales in Russia, but 240 employees have continued to work in the company. A source close to the company said those who agree to relocate are transported to other countries. With employees who do not want to move, the company will terminate the contract by agreement of the parties with the payment of severance pay.
NVIDIA explained the closure of the office and the relocation of employees “by the inability to ensure effective work in Russia.”
NVIDIA products were not included in the allowed imports for parallel imports. That is, only “gray” video cards will appear in stores. The company also stopped selling and renewing licenses to Russian companies for cloud gaming software.
