Robot vacuum cleaners in 2022 have long been commonplace. Even cats seem not as surprised by these gadgets as they were a few years ago. At the same time, as it should be for any popular product group, the price fork turns out to be very large, offering customers both cheap vacuum cleaners and expensive ones.
This time I got to the budget robot vacuum cleaner TCL Sweeva 2000. From this follow some apparent features of the vacuum cleaner.
Design and equipment

There is a remote control, an additional replaceable filter, a station, and two pairs of brushes. You will also find two magnetic fencing tapes in the kit. And this is the first consequence of the cheapness of the robot vacuum cleaner – it does not have a lidar. That is, it cannot build a map of the apartment. Therefore, these tapes are used if, for some reason, you need the vacuum cleaner not to get into any of the rooms.
By some logic, I don’t understand that many manufacturers make vacuum cleaners with a glossy black finish. TCL Sweeva 2000 did not bypass this fate, so any speck of dust will be very noticeable on it, and dust on duty will encounter very often. Based on this, I recommend you consider buying a white model, and the manufacturer makes the following models from matte plastic.
Launching
Initially, the brushes are not attached to the vacuum cleaner. They are relatively easy to connect to it. The main thing is to tilt them and push them.
After that, it is enough to put the vacuum cleaner on wheels at the charging station, hold down the power button for 7 seconds and connect it to the TCL Home application. Here you will need to enter the password for your Wi-Fi network for the vacuum cleaner to become part of a smart home.
Cleaning
The TCL Sweeva 2000 won’t be the stressful experience for your household friends that a vacuum cleaner can be. It has three operating modes, one of which makes the robot quiet. It is called “silent,” although it is not. There is noise, but the vacuum cleaner does not sound very loud.
In the “Turbo” mode, the vacuum cleaner becomes noticeably louder. TCL states that the maximum volume is 60 dB. Google reported that this is the level of the TV at medium volume, but vacuum cleaners are usually louder in general.
TCL Sweeva 2000 only supports dry cleaning, so the built-in container made a relatively large volume of 600 ml. There it sucks dust and fine dirt with a power of up to 2000 Pa.

Since there is no lidar in the vacuum cleaner, its upper surface is almost entirely flat. Moreover, this vacuum cleaner is relatively compact in height – only 7 cm. It will quickly drop under your sofas and beds, and the cleaning area will be larger than that of more brilliant vacuum cleaners.
With the missing lidar, there are certain limitations. It is quite a common situation here. When you decide to finish cleaning, press the button to return to the base, and the vacuum cleaner will go in the other direction from the base. The Sweeva 2000 is controlled by the supplied remote control and the application. The app and remote control buttons control the vacuum cleaner so they can point it manually at the charging base.
TCL Sweeva 2000 is equipped with a 2600 mAh conventional battery. This is enough to clean up for 2.5 hours. And this is enough for the vacuum cleaner to clean a room of 120 m².
Outcome
TCL Sweeva 2000 is perfect for the first robot vacuum cleaner. It is not very smart due to the lack of lidar, but the prices for such models will be twice as high.
Also, the vacuum cleaner cannot boast of wet cleaning, but before putting it in the minus, you should ask yourself: do you need this function? Still, such vacuum cleaners are often taken exclusively for regular automatic cleaning, which he copes with perfectly. And nozzles for wet cleaning, many buyers do not even unpack.
The TCL Sweeva 2000 can be a great home vacuum cleaner that will save you money and the time you spend on regular cleaning.
