Telegram channel owners may not indicate advertising customers in posts – Techsuppo

Posted on October 22, 2022

The Association of Bloggers and Agencies turned to the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) with a question about the correct labeling of ads on Telegram and YouTube.

It turns out that the owners of Telegram channels may not indicate customers in advertising posts, but the advertisement itself “must comply with the principles of good faith and reliability.”

The law on unified accounting of all online advertising in Russia has been in force since September 1. Roskomnadzor is responsible for maintaining a suitable online advertising accounting system.
