Xiaomi is no longer associated exclusively with budget smartphones. Increasingly, the company is releasing premium models with a corresponding price tag. The rise in the cost of flagship Xiaomi smartphones is because the manufacturer is trying to equip them with the latest technology. For example, the current flagship Xiaomi Mi 11 has one of the best displays on the market. It is a 6.81-inch AMOLED panel with 3200 x 1440 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, rounded edges, and wide viewing angles. But Xiaomi will not stop there and has prepared an even more modern display for its next flagship model.

According to network sources cited by the portal GizChina, Xiaomi Mi 12 will be equipped with an OLED display made using LTPO technology using low-temperature polycrystalline silicon. This panel is characterized by low power consumption and faster response time, and most importantly, it allows you to support the dynamic image refresh rate. The first smartphone on the market with an LTPO OLED display was the Samsung Galaxy Note 20. Its screen has an adaptive refresh rate from 1 Hz to 120 Hz.

In addition to the Xiaomi Mi 12, the new type of display is also credited to the next flagships of the iPhone, which will be released in September this year. True, not all models of the iPhone 13 series will receive the LTPO OLED panel, but only the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max.

Returning to the Xiaomi Mi 12, I must say that this flagship should also set the record for fast charging. Xiaomi recently introduced the 200W HyperCharge fast charging technology, and it is rumored that the Mi 12 will be the first smartphone to support it.
