Elon Musk, the new owner of the social network Twitter, has announced an increase in the cost of a Twitter Blue subscription to $8.
What will be the changes:
- priority in answers, mentions, and searches;
- the ability to publish long videos and audio;
- half as much advertising;
- Access to paid content from publications that join the Twitter Partner Program.
Paid subscribers will also receive a verification mark — a blue checkmark next to their name. Now a tick is given to a limited circle of people for free.
Musk also said that the current verification system is “bullshit.” It will be like in Telegram: you have issued a Premium subscription – get a tick and bonuses.
But editing tweets can be accessible to all users. For now, this option is only available to paid subscribers.
